This workshop series started in 2021 with the aim of further exploring the potential of computational approaches (Natural Language Processing) applied to Ancient Greek and Latin.
We decided to organize the first workshop after having noticed that, while there were many initiatives in ‘Digital Classics’ more broadly speaking, there was no obvious venue where scholars working with Computational Linguistics and Greek or Latin could meet. Seen the interest raised by the first edition, we decided to turn it into a workshop series.
Typically, recent research or work-in-progress are presented and discussed. An aim of the venue is to offer to scholars, especially those in Computational Classics, a place to meet and to discuss (new) ideas. Therefore, we reserve a longer time to discussion than it is customary at most computational linguistics workshops and conferences.
